‘The Tuscany Ride was positively magical! Absolutely amazing! 5 stars all the way! I was travelling on my own, but everything about getting there was easy, from being picked up at Grosseto train station by my transfer driver to arriving at the villa and being greeted by host Gio, the most charming and lovely person you could hope to meet. Gio cannot do enough for you and is such fun and great company. The apartment in the villa was the height of luxury with plenty of room for me and my new roomie/ride bestie, including a large bedroom and bathroom each and spacious shared living areas. The horses were fantastic, and I adored my sweet Paint mare Nyara, whom I rode every day. She was super sure-footed, had a chill temperament and was happy to be at the back or go forward, depending on what I wanted. The other five riders were fun and great company, too, and the staff at Gio Ranch were so helpful, making everything easy and a real pleasure. Then there were the after-ride cocktails and the amazing meals and wine, which included themed dinners and some of the best food I tasted in Italy! The whole atmosphere at the ranch was so warm and welcoming. I loved the dogs and the cats and Matilda the mini pony who went on one of the rides with us! Everything about this ride was exceptional, and I could go on and on about it. I will definitely be back!’

‘The Tuscany ride was all about showing us a gorgeous slice of Italy: terrain, flora, food, history, beauty, all from horseback. I rode Lady Umbra, and we had an understanding within a day. She looked after me, scrambling surefootedly up and down rocky paths. Gio was so very informative, and was very generous in his support of all things local. Our hosts provided outstanding local Italian cuisine three times a day, always with wine, espresso, and several courses. The only thing better than the food was riding to the dining site, whether it be a mountain top restaurant in a medieval village, a farm deck overlooking olive groves, a forest picnic near the Mediterranean Sea, or a family run winery.’

‘The experience you will have with Globetrotting will be unlike anything you have experienced before. On our ride, Jemma, one of the Globetrotting superstars, made sure we were happy with everything that we did (even making sure I had Coke Zero, since I didn’t drink – on a wine trip, I know!). But she didn’t need to worry at all, as Gio and the crew welcomed us into their homes and family, and now hold a special place in my heart. This trek was extremely luxurious, and I have never eaten so much food in my life. The horses were so well loved and cared for, looking after their riders. The pace catered for those of us who wanted to speed up a bit and also those who didn’t. Globetrotting really ensures they only use the hosts with the most! I won’t be using any other provider ever again!’

‘Staying at this beautiful ranch was an experience I’ll never forget! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by with such warmth and hospitality that we instantly felt at home. The kindness and genuine care shown by the whole team made our stay incredibly special. The horses were simply amazing – well-trained, gentle, and perfect for riders of any level. Exploring the scenic Tuscan trails on horseback was a dream come true, with breathtaking views that added to the magic of the experience. The food was exceptional! Every meal felt like a celebration of authentic Tuscan flavours, with fresh, local ingredients that showcased the best of Italian cuisine, and sent us home with a few extra pounds! Our apartment was decorated in a charming, cosy style that made it a perfect place to unwind. It was clear that a lot of care went into creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, the team gave us the warmest, most wonderful experience we could have hoped for. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Tuscany, with amazing food, great horses, and an unforgettable, heartfelt welcome. We will be back!’

‘My daughter and I have just returned from the awesome Tuscany ride. On arrival at the ranch, we were warmly welcomed by Gio and the family dogs, then taken to our accommodation in the idyllic traditional Tuscan farmhouse. Every day had something extraordinary to offer: rides to medieval hilltop villages, hacking through forests, vineyards, and olive groves, great races across open land, and gallops along the beach on our beautiful horses. The experience was way beyond our expectations, and Gio was just the perfect host; so gracious, and nothing was too much trouble for him. This is a trip I will never forget and would return again in a heartbeat. Don’t second guess this one – just go!’

‘Oh my god, where do I even begin? Tuscany ride was an absolute dream come true! This was my first horse riding holiday, and I couldn’t have picked a more perfect debut. The ranch, the horses, and most of all, the wonderful hosts made this a truly special experience. It’s clear their ambition is to ensure every globetrotter has the perfect holiday and truly enjoys themselves, as everything was arranged impeccably for our comfort. And the dogs – they were the absolute sweetest things! It was the perfect confidence booster for beginner riders. I was quite nervous but with the guide’s help, I learned to canter comfortably. By the end of the day, my friend and I even had a little canter ahead of the group, beaming from ear to ear! It was an experience I will never forget.’

‘If you want a luxury horse riding holiday combined with spectacular Italian hospitality, including the opportunity to learn about life in Europe from two gorgeous authentic hosts – go to Tuscany. You will not be disappointed for one second of this experience other than, of course, the day you have to leave! The hosts, Patrick and Gio are the most gorgeous, hospitable folk I have ever met in the business who just made everyone feel so welcome & safe. They love what they do, and it shows in every way they care for the group. Everyone was so looked after & their attention to authentic Italian hospitality was flawless! These two guys are special. Gio extended himself at every request – even helping me plan the rest of my trip around Italy! Nothing was too much of a bother and they both made us all feel like the ranch was our home. I will truly treasure every aspect of my stay & will surely go back for more!’

‘This ride is an absolute dream. Gio and Patrick have created a slice of heaven that exceeded all my expectations in terms of quality of horses, variety of the itinerary, and camaraderie amongst fellow guests. The food was sensational! There was a personal chef for dine-in meals, and the hosts took us out to the best hole-in-the-wall local restaurants for our dine-out meals. I love how Gio and Patrick explore and support other small local businesses doing extraordinary things. The accommodation was comfortable and tastefully decorated. As a mom of three and a small business owner, my time is pretty busy, but the quality of horses and friendships I made on this trip was so worth taking time away for. I feel so refreshed upon returning home. Walking through a medieval town on horseback and galloping across the Italian countryside are core memories I will cherish forever.’

‘What an incredible week! Beautiful horses, luxury accommodation in a renovated farmhouse with a pool, spectacular rides each day through olive groves and pristine countryside to mountain villages for lunch, and even a ride along the beach. The guides knew the routes through the country perfectly. The horses were well-trained, calm, and happy to canter and move when we wanted. Lunch at a local family home was a treat, as was a picnic in the hills. Just fantastic!’

‘I am thrilled to have gone on the first Tuscany trip. It was an incredible experience that exceeded all my expectations. I almost cancelled due to a rough patch that I had gone through just before leaving, but little did I know that this experience would help me heal and bring a smile to my face. The hosts were two of the most wonderful and gracious people I have ever met. From the moment I arrived and met them, I felt a sense of peace. The location was breathtaking, the horses were remarkable and so well taken care of, and the accommodations were five-star! And then there was the authentic Italian food. Being of Italian descent, I can say that this was the real deal! The horses knew their job, and the guides were always attentive to our needs. From riding through the olive trees to galloping on the beach, every moment had us all smiling. I cannot recommend this ride enough, and in fact, I plan on returning next year!’
